Candor: unreserved, honest, or sincere expression

Here at the Candor Therapy Network, our therapists encourage and foster an environment of unabashed honesty.

In a nutshell…

We are a group of licensed counselors and therapists providing person-centered mental health care. Our providers use a wide variety of methods and techniques all designed to help you become the best version of yourself. Connect with a provider who meets your needs and schedule an appointment.

We’re virtual.

Our providers are spread out all over Virginia which allows us to see clients wherever they are and at their convenience. Sessions are conducted online via a safe, secure telehealth platform. No worrying about trying to find a parking spot or getting stuck in traffic, so you can get the most out of each session.

Our Strategies

  • clients learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives

  • challenging the dysfunctional thinking that can lead to dysfunctional emotions or behaviors

  • a state of active, open attention to the present; observing one’s thoughts and feelings without judging them as good or bad

  • helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior

  • client directs discussion during each therapy session, while the therapist acts mainly as a guide or a source of support for the client
